Best User Interface: The GMS user interface is consistently ranked the best and easiest to use. All operator actions can be done through Function keys or a mouse. All scale operations are handled from one window, so there is never any confusion.

Reliable: Both the GMS computer and the DWC-400 controller are purpose built industrial components, not office computers like the other companies use. The industrial computer filters out dust, has vibration protection for the hard drive and has hold down clamps for internal cards. The DWC-400 has no moving parts.

Expandable: The GMS-400 comes with a whole range of options, many unique to CompuWeigh, to precisely meet your needs. Here are some of them:

  • SmartRead RF Tag System automatically reads the RF tag from each car no more walking the track! The latest system incorporates wheel sensors so that the operator is notified when a car is missing its tag.
  • SmartCar railcar database takes the tag number from SmartRead and calculates the maximum amount that can be safely loaded into the car without exceeding the load limit or cubic capacity of the car.
  • SmartGrade provides the weighted average quality for of each factor, for loaded cars in real time. This prevents giving away high quality product to meet a unit train’s overall quality
  • SmartBin inventory shows bin levels and quality in real time. System provides reconciliation to physical and optimizes blending to increase profits.
  • SmartPlay allows the manager to review in detail previous scale transactions in high or super slow motion to better understand what went wrong and how to do better next time.
  • SmartBatch allows rail cars to be unloaded as a batch and then reconciled to the origin weights to ensure that all cars have been accounted for and the total weight deviation is acceptable.
  • SmartLink ensures that all information generated in GMS can be transferred to the accounting system without any data entry.
  • SmartNet provides interfacing of GMS to Automation Systems using the industry standard ModBus
